He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorin Starkebaum (Phyllis Starkebaum) and Phyllis Starkebaum; his brother-in-law Richard Meakins; and his close friend John Everitt. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Staci Tempel (Adam), Brian Starkebaum (Sammi) and Jodi Haley (David); his grandchildren, Tyler Tempel, Riley Smith, Ryan Tempel, Maclin Tempel, Bobbi Starkebaum, Baron Starkebaum, Hanna Haley and Bennett Haley; and his sisters, Pat Meakins and Nancy Wallace (George). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Haxtun Methodist Church (106 S Washington Ave, Haxtun, CO 80731).
