He was predeceased by : his parents, Matias Montoya and Paula Armendariz (Marcella); his children, Ruby and Robert; his stepdaughters, Virginia and Barbra; and his siblings, Alvaro Montoya, Florentino Montoya, Rodolfo Montoya, Abelardo Montoya and Ernestina Tarin.
He is survived by : his sons, Reuben and Ralph Montoya; his daughters-in-law, Sheila Montoya and Yvonne Rodello; his stepchildren, Cecil Guerro and Pamela Castro; and his siblings, Josefina and Anastacio. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
