He was predeceased by : his parents, Sid Arter and Katherine Arter; his wife Carole Lynn Hirr Arter; and his sister Joan Arter Guy. He is survived by : his close friend Trisha Tedesco; his brother Allan Arter (Mickie Arter); his sons, Steven Gary Arter (Corinne Arter) and Donald William Arter (Shanna Arter); and his grandchildren, Kyle Arter, Jesse Arter, Garret Arter, Hayli Arter Norton, Hunter Arter, Hanna Davis, Jordan Smith, Emma Charles and Madyson Arter. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
