Phyllis Berkenkotter Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Berkenkotter of Howard, Colorado, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Phyllis has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hamand and Reba Hamand (Fulk). She is survived by: her husband Richard Berkenkotter; and her children, Stephen Berkenkotter (Kiva) of Howard, Daniel Berkenkotter (Kim) of Castle Rock, Colorado and Theresa Molloy (Rob) of Loveland, Colorado. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:30 PM at the Coaldale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Valley Club in Phyllis's memory.
