He was predeceased by: his grandfather Jake; his wife Sue; his daughter Marla Jo; his granddaughter Johanna Carpine; his parents, Bill Kechter and Lola Kechter; his sister Marilyn (Bill Wood); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Alva Collette; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth, Jack Wise, Ed, Leona Collette, James and Nadine Collette.
He is survived by: his grandson Toby; his sons, Kent (Marsha) of Saint Francis and Kurt (Janelle) of Fort Collins; and his siblings-in-law, Bud and Bernie Collette of Burlington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
