With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony Jiron of La Junta, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Jiron and Mary Jiron (DeHerrera); and his sisters, Theresa Jiron and Pauline Romero. He is survived by: his children, Anthony Jiron, Jr., Zanthony Jiron, Destinie Trujillo, Bridgette Mejia, Danae Perez and Ezekiel Flores-Perez; his siblings, David Jiron (Vicky), Roger Jiron (Julia) and Lorraine Vasquez (Pedro); and his half-sister Gloria Franco. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Upper Room Fellowship Church (722 Santa Fe Ave, La Junta, CO 81050). A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (402 Potter Dr, La Junta, CO 81050).
