It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aurelia V. Gonzales (La Junta, Colorado), who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Aurelia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Aurelia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Maestas and Margaret Maestas (Gallegos); and her husband Paul F. Gonzales. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Davidson (Rod) and Paul Gonzales. She is also survived by Ten Grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great, great-grandchildren; four brothers, one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Parish (202 Lincoln Ave, La Junta, CO 81050). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
