With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy T. Soto of La Junta, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 10, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Tafoya (Montano) and Frank Tafoya; her grandson Emilio Vigil-Romero; her siblings, Gilbert Montano, Raymond Vigil, Johnny Vigil, Jessie Castanon, Ida Tafoya, Mable Raso and Cortie Tafoya; and her nieces and nephews, Marcela Montano, Marylou Aguilar, Lilly Raso, Nancy Mata, Frankie Castanon and Christopher Raso.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Oscar Aguilar of La Junta; her children, Doreen Chavez of Pueblo, CO, Donald Romero (Arlene) of Pueblo, CO, Duane Romero (Christina) of La Junta, CO, Nettie Arellano of La Junta, CO, Teresa Cardona (Rogelio) of La Junta, CO and Jeremy Garcia of La Junta, CO; her grandchildren, Foresee Chavez, Chezaray Chavez, Cassandra Lujan, Andrew Romero, Anissa Romero, Enriquez Romero, Danelissa Romero, Dimitri Romero, Sierra Romero, Mattaio Romero, Soraya Arellano, Venicio Castillo, Nayeli Arellano, Nayzeli Arellano, Francisco Zubia, Jr., Isaiah Zubia and Zayden Zubia; and her siblings, Irene Garcia and Robert Tafoya. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, godsons, and goddaughters.
