It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary W. Shane of La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary W. Shane to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Margaret Shane (Hamm) and Arthur Shane; and also Mickey Dorsch (Alex). He is survived by : his wife Sharon Courkamp; his daughters, Janelle Stedman (Jeff) of Longmont, CO, Jennifer Shane of La Junta, CO and Dana Smith of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, AJ Stedman (Adena), Patrick Stedman (Taylor), Mason Swenor and Logan Swenor; his great grandchildren, Elnora and Maeven Stedman; his sister Connie Shane; and his friend Ernestine Gonzales.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gary's name to Sangre de Cristo Hospice (Sangre de Cristo Community Care - Southern Colorado's Leader in Hospice Care) or to Valley Community Church, 27435 County Road 22 75, Rocky Ford, CO, 81067, direct or through the funeral home.
