We announce the death of Genesis Genova Mondragon of La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 9. She was predeceased by: her grandfather Alfred A. Mondragon, Sr.; her pet Kota-Lee; her great-grandparents, Roy Lopez (Socorro) and Alfonso Archuleta (Sadie); and her great-uncles, Richard Lopez, Roy Lopez and Robert Romero.
She is survived by: her parents, Alfred A. Mondragon, Jr. and Shanice Lopez; her siblings, Ezequiel Lopez-Chavez, Luciano Mondragon and A'Laysia Mondragon; her stepsiblings, Izaiyah Ramirez and Mariana Ramirez; her stepmothers, Alexandra Kintscher and Alissa Ramirez; her grandparents, Cheree Lopez, Jennie Romero (Dean Fernandez) and Cynthia White (Brian); and her great-grandparents, Lilly Lopez, Patsy Romero, Alexandra Cruz, Ashley Lopez, Miangel Bell and Ceniza Casias. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
