It is with sadness that the passing of Genevieve Salazar (La Junta, Colorado) is shared. Genevieve, born in Trinidad, Colorado, passed away on August 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Serafin E Salazar; her daughter Cynthia Hicks; and her siblings, Margaret Romero, Rachel Gallegos, Lawrence Lucero, Eloy Lucero and Martha Jean Reeb.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dena Salazar, Karla Knoell (Dean), Karen Lovato (Edmund) and Paula Sue Salazar (Eric Stringer); her grandchildren, Ezekiel Ayala (Stacy), Xavier Talton, Shane Lovato, Cody Knoell (Eva) and Rachel Salazar; and her great grandchildren, Thomas, Sophia (Jason), Sicily, Elijah, Zeta and Max.
