Jim moved to La Junta in 1976 to work for Miles Heating & Refrigeration, met his wife that same year, and took over the business in 1986. He cared a great deal for his employees, clients, and prided himself in providing quality work for a community he loved.
Jim loved his time going to the Lake of the Ozarks with his family and had looked forward to spending more time there after retirement. He dedicated himself to his family and loved his time spent at home playing with his granddaughter. He also enjoyed traveling, especially day trips around Colorado in his Corvette or on his motorcycle. He was a passionate dog owner and loved raising and training German Shepherds.
