We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2023, at the age of 86, John Lawrence Lowe of La Junta, Colorado, born in Las Animas, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Walt Lowe and Martha Lowe; his father-in-law Al Burtis; his wife Betty Alden Burtis Lowe; his mother-in-law Betty Burtis; and his brothers-in-law, Evenson Mack Burtis and Bob Decker.

He is survived by : his former life partner Pat Bohlender; his sisters, Jean Decker of Gunnison, CO and Janet Catlin (Bill) of Boise, ID; his children, Libby Hiza (Ed) of Swink, John Lowe (Wanda) of Oracle, AZ and Martha Roberson (Randall) of La Junta; his granddaughter Elise Rusher (Jeff) of Berthoud, CO; his children, Emily Kohan (Pat) of Fort Collins, CO, Tate Lowe (Megan) of Dodge City, KS, Riley Lowe (Anna) of Greeley, CO, Marta Oquist (Zach) of La Junta, Reece Roberson of Amarillo, TX, Leah Roberson of Fort Worth, TX and Savannah Vigil of Manhattan, KS; and his stepson TJ Bohlender (Christie) of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
