Joshua P. Ortega Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2025, at the age of 17, Joshua P. Ortega (La Junta, Colorado) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Joshua's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joshua has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Esther Fernandez and Manuel Maestas; his uncle Paul Roybal; his aunt Donna Penn; his cousin Joshua Roybal; and his close friend Jarin Lasley.
He is survived by: his parents, Juan Ortega, Sr. (Carmen) and Cinda Maestas (Jared Muniz); his brothers, Manuel Ortega (Jasmyne Trujillo) and Juan Ortega Jr. of La Junta; and his grandparents, Danny, Janet Salazar of La Junta and Federico Ortega of Cajula, Mexico. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall (118 Steen Ave, La Junta, CO 81050).
