She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Trethewey and Jo Trethewey. She is survived by: her husband Pat Malott of La Junta; her children, Mike Ross (Sarah) of Spring and Karen Gacnik (Joey) of La Junta, Colorado; her grandchildren, Emma and Jake Gacnik of La Junta, Colorado; her great grandchild Aspen Lee of Keller, TX; her sisters, Sally Moninger (Bill) of Loveland and Patricia Farnham (Steve) of Loveland, Colorado; and her siblings' children, John Peden, Dave Farnham, Doug Farnham, Kim Summitt and Jennifer Enright.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel.
In 1986, the family moved to Swink, Colorado, where Sue made significant contributions to her community through various roles, working with Otero County social services, serving in the Otero County clerk's office, and holding the position of Town clerk in Swink.
