With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stella May Montgomery of Lafayette, Colorado, born in Golden, Colorado, who passed away on January 18, 2023 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stella May Montgomery to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Job Adelore Hamel and Thelma May Hamel (Rice); her husband Frank John Montgomery of Lafayette; her daughter Becky Lynn Montgomery; and her siblings, Richard Adelore Hamel, Dorothy Fay Horton (Hamel), Lois Marguerite Hamel and Harold George Hamel.

She is survived by : her sister Carol Evelyn Delto (Ernie) of Glenwood Springs; and her daughters, Bridget May Carmody (Ernie) of Paonia, Bonnie Gay Smith (James) of Lafayette and Sara Lynn Wendland (Tom) of Wiggins. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Valmont Presbyterian Community Church of Boulder, Colorado or the Boulder County 4-H program.
