With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel R. Smith (Lakewood, Colorado), born in Denver, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 71. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Daniel leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Daniel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Luvina Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Smith and Susan Smith; his daughters, Jammi Chvatal (Kevin Chvatal) and Stepheni Baldivia; his grandchildren, Zoe Baldivia Nascimento, Gabrial Baldivia, Tyler Chvatal and Logan Chvatal; and his great grandchild Daniel Nascimento II.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services (6425 W Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226).
