With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Shaffer of Lakewood, Colorado, who passed away on August 9, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Gary's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Gary has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Shaffer and Evaughn Shaffer (Loeser); his sister Carla Shaffer; and his brother-in-law Phil Kimmerling. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Shaffer of Lakewood, CO; his children, Rachel Holman (Greg), Lily and Spencer Shaffer; and his siblings, Beth Kimmerling-Dumler (Dean Dumler), Dr. Brian Shaffer and Lecia Shaffer (Jim Rogers).
