He was predeceased by: his parents, Eileen Wittenberg and Robert Wittenberg; his son Douglas Wittenberg; his sister Marilyn; and his brother-in-law Edwin Greve.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wittenberg; his daughter Cynthia Lieb (Andrew); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Wittenberg; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Dian Wittenberg; and his grandchildren, Jack, Ryan, Brandon Lieb, Stella, Louise, Jacob, Andrew, Micah and Luke Wittenberg.
