He was predeceased by : his mother Goldie Pernie Alger (Cleeton); his wife Addie Josephine "Jo" Alger; his father James Alger, Sr.; his children, Jimmy Paul, Elizabeth Ann and Pamela Sue; and his grandson Randall Steven.

He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Kay, Paula Jean and Beverly Jo. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
