He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Schafer and Ruth Schafer; and his sister-in-law Doreen. He is survived by : his siblings, Michael Schafer (Cathy), Monty Schafer and Melody Travis (Ernie); and his nieces and nephews, Heather Travis, Nicole Daniels (Joshua), Nathan Schafer (Janine), Michael Schafer (Mikaela) and Noelle Cho (John).
