With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurine Nelson of Lakewood, Colorado, who passed away on November 14, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Maurine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maurine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Howell and Sally Howell (Jack Oberg). She is survived by: her husband Brent Nelson; her children, Katarina Nelson (Mark Nelson) and Eric Nelson (Emily Nelson); her grandchildren, William and Leonora; and her siblings, Paul Howell (Cindy Fraser), Carlyn Mishkin (Steve Mishkin) and Richard Howell (Nancy Howell).
