He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Johnson, Sr. and Lola Cameron; and his brother Gary Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Georgeson; his sisters, Donna Long, Nancy Ferguson and Patty Hogan; his children, Jill Fischaber (Curtis), William Johnson (Marketa) and Samuel Johnson (Kathleen); and his grandchildren, Samuel, Oliver, Ellery, Ema, Daphne, Trevor, Charles and Lexi.
