He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Klippert and Minnie Belle Klippert (Keasling); his sister Joy Murphy; his sister-in-law Carol Butler (Young); and his nephew Ross Butler.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Klippert; his children, Christa Melgoza (Kelly) of Lamar, CO, Teri Huser (Nathan) of Spokane, WA, Zachary Klippert (Crystal) of Del Norte, CO and Jessica Klippert (Daniel Shannon) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandchildren, Jericka Melgoza, Leandra Burton (Tyler), Elizabeth Huser, Joy Klippert and Rose Klippert; his great grandchildren, Nizhoni Klippert and Slaten Burton; his siblings, Sandy Stumpff (Robert) of Alliance, NE and Larry Klippert (Donna) of Holyoke, CO; and his brother-in-law Steven Butler (Doris) of Weldona, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
