He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Martinez and Beatrice Martinez (Sanchez); and his brother Eloy Gonzales. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Martinez (Kristine) of Shawnee, KS and Malissa Rivera (Edgaro) of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Lucas (Maggie), Lorenzo, Letizia, Dominic Martinez and Benicio Rivera; his great grandchildren, Alicia and Lucas Jr. Martinez; and his brothers, George Martinez of Pueblo, CO and Richard Martinez of Mathis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
