He is survived by: his mother Nancy Sue Sutphin Jr. (Ballard) of Lamar, CO; his wife Angela Sutphin; his children, John Paul Sutphin IV (Jessica) of Lamar, CO, Chanelle DuVall (Caleb) of Granada, CO, Jozlyn Hicks (Kadyn) of Lamar, CO and McKenzie Stegman (Kolby) of Lamar, CO; his grandchildren, Blakelynn, Sawyer, Annistyn, Slade, Tilden, John V, Krew and Kross; his siblings, Monette Sutphin of Wiley, CO, Melissa Shipman (Eddie Uratani) of Lamar, CO, Monica Sutphin of Lamar, CO and Christopher Stewart (Courtney) of McClave, CO; his father John Sutphin, Jr. (Susan) of Lamar, CO; his sister-in-law Sara Campbell (Dustin) of Lamar, CO; and his parents-in-law, Alfred and Susan Bergquist of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the John Sutphin III Memorial Scholarship through Wiley Consolidated School in care of the funeral home office.
