With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Ellenberger of Lamar, Colorado, born in Florence, Alabama, who passed away on May 6, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Oakes and Genevieve Oakes (Schroeder); her former husband Jim Ellenberger; her children, Mark Arthur Ellenberger and Marti Ferris; and her grandson Clint Ferris.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Cook (Mike) of Rye, CO, Teresa Jacobs (Jake) of Littleton, CO, Susie Smith (Paul) of Coral Springs, FL and Eric Ellenberger (Shannon) of Lamar, CO; her grandchildren, Kaycee Ellenberger of Lamar, Koree Ellenberger of Lamar, Laura Mock (Brian) of Chapel Hill, NC, Shon Cook of Berthod, CO, Kat Jacobs (Keenan) of Camano Island, WA, Derek Keeler (Alexis) of Seattle, WA, John Jacobs of Denver, CO, Bryson Jacobs (Emily) of Montgomery, TX and Blake Ferris of Wiggins, CO; and her brother Jim Oakes of Oceanside, CA. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
