It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Jara of Lamar, Colorado, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Baca and Antonia Baca; his wife Mary Rose Jara; his adoptive parents, Felipe Jara and Donicia Jara; and his sisters, Delfina Arias and Belen Orozco.
He is survived by : his children, Troy Jara (Mariaelena) of Lamar, CO, Todd Jara (Linda) of Granada, CO and Melissa Sandoval (Erica Williams) of Springfield, CO; his grandchildren, Mariah (Luis), Sierra, Brianna, Tyrique, Nicole, Akelah (Christopher), Tatiana, Trinity, Tori and Terrance; his great grandchildren, Nye, Kamila, Zyanna, Israel "Cruzito", Zayden, Maddox and Bexlii; and his siblings, Toni Valdez (Pete) of Pueblo, CO, Lupe Adame of Springfield, CO and Alfred Jara (Mary) of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
