Scott Thompson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Scott Thompson of Lamar, Colorado, born in Atlantic, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Thompson and Martha Thompson (Winter); and his brother Tracy Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Alice Nelson; his son Casey Thompson of Lamar, CO; his stepchildren, Teri Ellis (JW) of Eads, CO. and Dustin Nelson (Jade) of Eads, CO.; his stepgrandchildren, Lexi Ellis and Lily Adams-Nelson; and his siblings, Leigh Miller of Nebraska and Ted Thompson of Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fairmount Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
