He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Marion "Millie" and Eva Olivia Giovanna "Jennie" Potestio (Martella); and his siblings, Eugene Potestio, Eleanor Aberton, Gloria Zeman, Danny Potestio and Louise Schauer.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Potestio; his daughters, Brandi Potestio-Cunningham (Daniel) of Westminster, CO, Billie Vannoy of Fort Collins, CO, Brittini McKinney (Bill) of New City, NY and BriAnna Potestio of Fort Collins, CO; his stepsons, Adrian Trim (Kirsten) of Woodrow, CO, Matthew Trim (Brenna) of Arvada, CO and Nicholas Trim (Missey) of Woodrow, CO; his grandchildren, Malachi Scott, Austin Vannoy, Jennifer Vannoy, Sophia McKinney and Ava McKinney; his stepgrandchildren, Caden Trim, Hunter Trim, Brady Trim, Belicia Trim, Jerrica Trim, Christian Trim, Ryen Trim, Loren Trim and Hazel Trim; his great grandchildren, Adrien Vannoy and Lila Vannoy; and his siblings, Eddie Potestio of Pueblo, Alberta Consonero of Pueblo and Emily Hughes (Butch) of Pueblo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lamar Christian Church (811 S Main St, Lamar, CO 81052). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prowers County Veteran's Service Office either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
