We are sad to announce that, on March 4, 2026, at the age of 88, William Robert Wootten of Lamar, Colorado, born in Chickasha, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Wootten and Marion Wootten (Bassett); and his siblings, Jack, Tom Wootten and Janice Bond.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Wootten; his children, Barbara Hatton (Doug) of Pueblo West, CO, William R. "Buddy" Wootten, Jr. of Lamar, CO and Richard Wootten (Tracy) of Lakewood, CO; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hurd (Braden) of Kansas City, MO, Chris Hatton of Colorado Springs, CO, Dylan Nickelson of Lakewood, CO, Will Wootten of Hayes, KS, Katie Wootten of Mountain View, CA and Jayme Wootten of Delta, CO.; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine, Eleanor Wootten and Myron Bond. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice, Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative and/or local charity of choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
