It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Christopher Cortinez in Las Animas, Colorado, born in Garden City, Kansas, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Virgil, Marilyn Hogue and Ignacio Cortinez; and his uncle Virgil Hogue. He is survived by : his parents, Marilyn Lucero (Hogue) of Las Animas, Colorado and Andrew Cortinez (Shannon) of Denver, Colorado; his children, Mayela J. Cortinez of Las Animas and Andru Cortinez of California; his grandmothers, Enis Morales of Pueblo and Maria Lucero of Las Animas, Colorado; his siblings, Kenneth Cortinez of Las Animas, Isaac Cortinez of Denver, Colorado, Pearl Cortinez of Denver and Chastity Salazar (Steven) of Las Animas, Colorado; and his nieces and nephews, Steven Jr., Arianna, Leticia and Greyson.
