He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardino Martinez and Amada Martinez; his children, Shawna Martinez and Gregory Thomas Valdez; his grandchildren, Amber Pacino, Timothy and Elijah; and his siblings, Max Martinez, Alfred "Benny" Martinez, Louie Martinez, Josephine "Joann" Gonzales, Yolanda Aguilar, Dolores Aragon, Lucille Martinez and Ysabel "Bella" Vigil.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Martinez. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
