She was predeceased by: her parents, Esequiel Genera and Rosario Genera (Lopez); and her child Bellia. She is survived by: her children, Marcos (Mark), Esther, Donald, Margaret, Josephine and Henrietta; her former husband Joseph "Joe" Whitmore; her daughters, Barbara, Georgi, Nancy and Shirley (Mike); and her stepson Wayne.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish (6673 W Chatfield Ave, Littleton, CO 80128). A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:10 AM and from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80235).
