James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his wife Michelina Hanson; his daughter Linda Hanson, MD; and his siblings, Burlyn Hanson of Huron, SD and Lonna Lemke of Moorhead, MN.. He is survived by: his children, Lori Hanson (Kevin Guarino) and James Louis Hanson (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole Guarino, Lauren and Samantha Hanson.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Cabrini Church (6673 W Chatfield Ave, Littleton, CO 80128). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery (3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236).
