With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Hyland Ryan of Littleton, Colorado, born in Chateaugay, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 89. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy James leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis T. Ryan and Mary Ryan (Hyland) of Chateaugay, NY. He is survived by: his wife Doreen Roach Ryan; his children, Sean Ryan (Glenda Ryan), Kathleen Ryan (Noel Coyne), Patrick Ryan (Cheryl Ryan), Colleen Ryan-Mallon (Charles Mallon), Maureen O'Brien (Patrick O'Brien) and Timothy Ryan (Rose Lieu); and his siblings, Maureen Donoghue, Kevin Ryan and Steve Ryan. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Church (132 W Main St, Chateaugay, NY 12920).
