He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Tate (Bub) and Lela Raye Glenn; his brother Jimmy Tate; his parents-in-law, Jack Lowe and Margaret Adams (E. O. Adams); his sister-in-law Carrol Shaver; and his niece Melissa Lowe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Lynn Long (Tate), Sharon Ann Moncrief (Tate) and Susan Gail Tate; his wife Gail Lynn Lowe; his grandchildren, Lauren Moncrief, Morgan Moncrief and Justin Moncrief; his stepgrandson Austin Long; his brother-in-law Dale Lowe (Donna); his niece Lynzee Oden (Justin); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian, Peyton, Declan and Jolee; his niece Lynn Logsdon (Lance); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kasey and Rowdy. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
A memorial has been established in Johnny's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
