He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara A. Decker and Louis L. Decker; his sister Marlyn Klipfel; and his nephews, Charles and Randy Klipfel.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Schleining; his children, Brad Decker (Sol), Lori Thomas (Barry) and Larry Decker (Naomi); his grandchildren, Caleb Thomas (Sammi), Hannah Halpern (Evan), Nicholas Decker, Thomas Decker, Haruka Takeyasu, Yugen Takeyasu and Kouta Decker; and his great grandchildren, Henry Steele Thomas and Nora Louise Halpern. He is also survived by numerous grandnephews, grandnieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association in memory of Richard and in honor of his one-month old great granddaughter, Nora Louise Halpern.
