“They broke the mould when they made Roger. There were definitely no grey areas in his world—you always knew exactly where you stood with him. Roger went from being a peanut salesman to becoming a national sales manager and one of the very best in the business. In today’s world, without an MBA or university degree, that kind of rise might not even be possible. Roger had something you can’t teach in a classroom: street smarts, common sense, determination, and an ability to understand people.”

My brother Lloyd and I had the pleasure of knowing Roger and doing business with him for more than 45 years. Roger was our Schwing representative and later became National Sales Manager for Schwing America. Over the years, we shared many good times—golf games, fine meals, plenty of laughs, and, in the later years, some memorable motorcycle trips throughout the western United States.”
