Rudolph Myron Brychel Obituary

Rudolph (Rudy) Brychel, resident of Littleton, CO, died on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at age 87. Born at home to parents Stanley and Jean Brychel in Hull, WI, Rudy attended high school at Don Bosco Catholic School in Milwaukee, WI, with his siblings Ralph, Arlene, and Duane. He studied botany at University of WI at Steven's Point and joined the U.S. Navy on August 4, 1953 as an electronic technician. While stationed at the US Naval Academy in Bainbridge Maryland, he met his wife Rosemary (Rose) at a Fireman's festival. They were married on September 3, 1955. Soon afterwards, he left the service and began work for Martin Marietta in Baltimore. In 1958, he and Rose welcomed their first child and transferred to Martin's new Colorado Waterton Canyon facility. In 1962, he purchased his house at 203 W Rafferty Gardens Ave in Littleton and created a home there with his wife and their six children. He lived there until his passing. Rudy had a passion for his family and the great outdoors of Colorado. A farmer at heart, you could find him in his big backyard gardening in his overalls. Later in life, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Duane, his six children Denise, Skye, Rudy Jr, Patrick, Brad (Leroy), and Matt, plus five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Viewing & Visitation to be held from 4:00 to 6:00PM and Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Drinkwine Family Mortuary.

Funeral Mass to be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. A reception will immediately follow in the Banquet Hall at the church.

Interment with military honors at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A.
