She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Bernal and Mary Muniz; her husband William Young; her children, Russell Desersa-Young of Longmont and Jennifer Sabo of Longmont; her grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Aidan Sabo; and her siblings, Mary Esther Pyka, Dorothy Betz, Frank Bernal, John Bernal, Della Hernandez, Al Bernal and Ben Bernal.
She found joy in sewing, from costumes to tablecloths and face masks, and loved cooking, trying new recipes, and reading cookbooks just for fun.
Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Salvation Army, or St. Joseph's Indian School—causes close to her heart.
