We announce the death of Darrel Lee Taylor of Longmont, Colorado, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 88. Darrel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Taylor and Lucile Taylor; his son Mike; and his siblings, Ed, Nola and Verla.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Snead; his daughters, Dianne Flanders (Paul), Karen Griffith (Rich), Stephanie Taylor and Marcie Brozovich (Ken); his grandchildren, Lina, Hadley, Kate Vogler, Amy (Griffith), Mark Sorensen, Amanda (Griffith), Jarrett Jochum, Jake Griffith (Abby), Alexis (Brozovich), Gavin Devlin, Meghan (Brozovich) and Nick Banks; and his brothers, Lynn Taylor (Bobbie) and Wayne Taylor (Judy).
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Longmont American Legion Post (315 S Bowen St, Longmont, CO 80501).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to Smile Train, an international nonprofit that Darrel supported for years.
