We are sad to announce that, on February 20, 2026, at the age of 91, Derald Keith Strait (Longmont, Colorado) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Strait and D. Marie Strait (Turner); his son Donald Keith; and his siblings, Melvin, Hershel and Retha.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie Ellen Strong (Strait) of Berthoud and James Jay "Jim" Strait (Maria) of Ft. Lupton; his wife Elsie Anna Sailors; his brother Vernon of Mulvane, KS; and his grandchildren, David, Elena, Rebecca, Shaun, Zach, Alyssa and Sam. He is also survived by grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.
