He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Colglazier and Alice Colglazier (Jennings); his wife Darlene Winterschiedt; his son Terrell; his brothers, Ron and Phil; his children, Diane Wilson (David Solberg) of Mason City, IA, Nancy Wright (Donnie) of Longmont, CO and Duane Colglazier of Florida; his siblings, Tom of Wichita, Barbara of Wichita, KS, Becky (Len) of Wichita, KS and Ann (Larry) of Joplin, MO.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hartnett (Kevin) of Iowa, Dena (Troy) of Iowa, James (Melissa) of Colorado Springs, CO, Chad of Dodge Center, MN and Tyler (Dessa) of Loveland, CO; and his stepgrandson Matt Longstreth (Loveland).

During his IBM career Don acquired several personal IBM Invention Achievement Awards/Patents and in addition, was part of a work team that earned several patent awards in 1977 for their contributions to copier innovations.
