Donovan Anthony Cordell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donovan Anthony Cordell of Longmont, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mae Nugent and Albert Nicholas Cordell; his wife Betty; his siblings, Carol Meyer, Vern Cordell, Jim Cordell, Marilyn Bachman and Shirley Pierson; and his grandchildren, Tommy Marino, Ashley VanMatre and Amanda VanMatre.
He is survived by: his sister Janet Mealer of Maple Plain, MN; and his daughters, Patricia Toon (Mike), Anne Moriarty, Carol Marino, Laura Giles (Keith), Mary McGill (Leigh), Cindy Brown (Craig), Donna Sebastian (Tom), Margaret VanMatre, Teresa Fischer (Neil) and Roberta Cordell (Tracy Ragatz). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Colorado Fallen Firefighters Foundation at cofff.org or Catholic Charities of Denver at ccdenver.org. Honor Donovan Cordell's memory by donating to a cause they cared about.
