He is survived by: his wife Barbara Garcia; his children, Fred Mendez Jr. (Melissa Mendez), Pablo Mendez, Miguel Mendez (Jamie Mendez) and Jessica Mendez Wallen (Mike Wallen); his former wife Barbara Mendez; and his siblings, Sarah Valencia, Vera Sandoval, Virginia Ebert, Hank Mendez, Gilbert Mendez, Pete Mendez Jr. and Richard Mendez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
