He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sterkel and Marie Sterkel (Fagler). He is survived by: his wife Karen Sterkel of Longmont; his daughters, Karie Docheff (Jay) of Longmont and Jamie Mendez (Miguel) of Mead; his grandchildren, Casey, Jaycee Docheff of Longmont, Caleb, Kylee and Calvin Mendez of Mead; and his brothers, Larry of Longmont, Duane of Longmont and Darrell Sterkel of Longmont. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
