He is survived by: his wife Jane Dougherty; his children, Rachael Spencer (Michael), Whitney Eubank (John IV), Hope Barz (Andi) and Garrett Dougherty; his grandchildren, Pierce, Vaughn, Graham, Ryleigh, Hailey, John V and Leon; his sisters, Sherry Barr (Charly) and Marilyn Dougherty (Michael McCarthy); and his nephews, Sean and Brett.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St Francis of Assisi (3791 Pike Rd, Longmont, CO 80503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (620 11th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501).
In lieu of flowers, donations can also be made to the Thomas More Society or Catholic Charities of Denver in John's memory.
