He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Laaker; his parents, Hank Laaker and Flora Laaker; his sister Deanna; his brother-in-law Gary Grose; his daughter-in-law Cindy Laaker; and his daughter Julia Marino.
He is survived by: his sons, John Laaker Jr. (Kelly) and Joey Laaker (LaCleta); his grandchildren, Jason Norman (Jennifer), Heather Parker (Royal), Jennifer Royce (Tony), Zachery Laaker, Matthew Baiza (Kristi) and Jordan McKay; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Ivy, Ewan, Kinley, Willow, Taelynn, Hayden, Tony, Zander and Carson.
