He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorene Henderson and Lon Perry Henderson; and his former spouse Edyth Echols. He is survived by: his son John William, Jr. (Bill); his wife Sue Henderson; his children, Mary Alice and Thomas; and his stepchildren, Kristen Browning-Blas and Carter Browning. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
